Movies:
- Fantastic Mr. Fox - Fantastic Mr. Fox has a beautiful fall time aesthetic. The colorful setting and lovable characters make up a seasonal family favorite.
- Harry Potter - Perfect to watch on a chilly day. All the movies in the Harry Potters series give off that autumn vibe, but The Prisoner of Azkaban specifically is one of my favorites to watch during this time of year.
- A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving - If you’re in the mood for a nostalgic classic, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is your best bet. The cute characters and comforting storyline of this movie never get old.
- You’ve Got Mail - A good combination of romance and humor, You’ve Got Mail is a lighthearted favorite. By far one of my favorite rom coms.
- Little Women (2019) - Little Women is my go-to comfort movie. The beautiful costumes, story, and setting all work together to give you a heartwarming film.
TV:
- Gilmore Girls - A perfect blend of romance, drama, and humor. Being one of my favorite series in general, I would highly recommend Gilmore Girls if you’re looking for feel-good, autumnal vibes. My recommendations: S1E6: “Rory’s Birthday Parties”, S2E10: “The Bracebridge Dinner”, & S3E10: “A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving”
- Friends - The Thanksgiving-themed episodes of Friends are perfect for this time of year. Loved by many, these episodes in specific are some of my seasonal favorites: S1E9: “The One Where the Underdog Gets Away”, S3E9: “The One With the Football”, & S5E8: “The One With All the Thanksgivings”
- Stranger Things (season 2 specifically) - Another good fall time choice, but with a scary twist. This seasonal, vintage show will have you on the edge of your seat, and you’ll be rooting for the characters the whole time. My recommendations: S2E2: “Trick or Treat, Freak”, S1E6: “The Monster”, & S1E8: “The Upside Down”
