Come peruse the trinkets of my mind
All carefully placed; they twinkle passing by A breathy sigh, a crisp letter "T," Hidden memories surrounding me, all-encompassing. "Here's the art she made especially just for me." "Here are the last pieces of clothing -- -- I can still smell her perfume." "Here's the book that made him think of me -- -- I thought of him, too." "Here's her lunch card and the logo she designed." "Feel the fibers of this blanket, with love, intertwined." "Trace the words once written with such care." Breathe in the finality -- the trinkets are not for show. Touch the final hearty strongholds Full of life -- composed. To help them solve problems.
To see them smile when success is achieved. To hug them when they receive their college acceptance. To console them when they lose a friend or loved one. To see them grow. To be a constant positive force in their lives. To encourage them to take learning risks. To embrace their diversity and individuality. To help them believe in themselves. To model a strong worth ethic. To model empathy and love. That's why! you’ll know it?
