Some of her worst covers are for the Mediator series. Even after releasing multiple editions, each with a unique cover, they were never cute, not even by early 2000's standards. So to make up for these displeasing covers, I designed my own for the series. I tried to keep a realistic 2000's aesthetic without making them too hard to look at. Check out the slideshow below for my take on the original books in the Mediator series.
One thing I always try to avoid writing about when it comes to Meg Cabot is the covers. For some reason, even after becoming a #1 New York Times bestselling author, she can't catch a break with the covers, even with the 20th anniversary edition of the first three Princess Diaries books (except for Princess in Love, which actually has a really adorable cover). I tried my best to make the covers both teen-ish and ghost-ish. Ever since making that first batch of alternate covers, I've kind of been obsessed with doing it (for the books I think I can improve—I'm not going around making With the Fire on High covers because that book already looks perfect). I've been working on a fun project making some alternate covers that I might post soon. Until next time, keep reading, readers.
