- Recycle anything paper, cardboard, plastic bags(stores have bins where you can put plastic bags in or donate them to Joe's Mart where they weave them into mats for homeless people), aluminum soda cans, plastic water bottles, basically anything that has the RECYCLE SIGN.
- Recycle batteries or electronic waste at Junkluggers.co
- Reuse containers to make cool sculptures, painting containers, storage use, or for diy projects
- Try to make household products at your home like breakfast bars, homemade detergent, cleaning products, makeup, etc.
- Recycle pens, markers, mechanical pencils, and school supplies with mailing them to Crayola, Elmer’s glue, and Staples conversion centers.

- Make a compost pile
- Start a garden
- Sometimes pick up trash that isn't yours
- Unplug cords when not using- saves a lot of energy because even though the machine you might be using is off, its actually still using energy from the socket it is plugged into, so it can stay active.
- Turn off lights when not using
- Try to use public transportation
- Don't let the car run for unneeded time
- Collect soda caps to get rewards like movie tickets
- Donate soda pops to Ronald Mcdonald house
- Bring your old grocery plastic bags to Joe's Mart in Glenside where they make mats for homeless people
- Don't use road salts- harm aquatic systems because road salts have high concentration of chloride that gets washed down streams into lakes. Use beet water or gravel instead
- Think about a green roof which absorbs stormwater and keep the house cold or warm.
- Try to use slate, metal, or paint your roof white to stay eco friendly and keep the house cool
- Get your energy from renewable sources like green mountain energy that is actually cheaper than peco!
- Support businesses that are for or donate to improving the environment and ecosystems.
- Buy recycled products like 100% recycled shampoos, free packaging soap and shampoo bars- from Lush.
- Try not to use styrofoam anything- styrofoam does not degrade well
- Say "no thanks" to straws- they are not very necessary
- Bring your travel mug to a coffee shop
- Carpool and try not to drive short distances
- Try to use recycled materials
- Use both sides of a sheet of paper
- Use LED lights, water saving shower heads, water saving toilets, etc.
- Plant extra shrubs, flowers, trees to absorb excess storm water
- Try not to use foam cups or foam take-out containers
- In your garden use organic fertilizer in right amounts
