- in a container no less than 5 ft by 5 ft, too small doesn't allow enough oxygen to go in
- water once a week unless it rained
- LOTS of holes in container for oxygen that helps plants decompose and so rain water can get out
- turn compost once a week to allow oxygen flow and reheat the mixture to decompose quicker
- need browns(leaves) and greens(produce)
- can compost hair, paper products, etc.
