Greeting blog readers! Today marks the day everyone's been waiting for- day 1 of Pranksmas! The victim of the today was Jackie Drozd! The hilarious prank she was subjected to was one for the ages. I told my accomplices Lucas and Declan to change the post-its on her locker from "Happy Birthday" to "Happy Pranksmas". In an interview with Jackie's friend Lulu, Ms.Pettit had this to say: "I hate it, it was evil." Happy Pranksmas everyone!
Last night Philly's own 76ers got a tough win against the Washington Wizards in a match that was rather lopsided the majority of the game, with the Sixers up by as many as 20. Despite the Sixers' commanding lead, however, with around six minutes left in the game Wizard's coach Scott Brooks initiated his strategy- to foul the Sixers' worst free throw shooter in Ben Simmons. Every possession the Wizards would just keep on fouling Simmons to send him to the stripe, knowing he would miss at least one. After this would happen the Wizards would take the ball up, and immediately shoot a 3-Pointer, slowly cutting the lead down . This went on until the two minute mark where it was illegal to purposely foul, but Sixers fans such as myself had already pulled out most of their hairs in frustration watching Simmons miss free-throw after free-throw. Although the Wizards brought the lead down to as little as six, the 76ers did pull out in the clutch and get the win despite superstar Joel Embiid's ejection in the 4th quarter.
As Pranksmas is creeping upon us in just a day, the question the entire 7th grade is asking is-"Will I be pranked?" Before now all I would say is, "No one is safe," but now the odds have been revealed. Here are everyone in the 7th grade's chances of being pranked:
